Straight Talk

Most Outdoor Projects Don't Fail on the Concrete.
They Fail on the Communication.

You've heard the stories. Maybe you've lived them. The contractor who quotes one number and invoices another. The crew that shows up when it suits them. The finished job that floods the first time it rains.

We built TexCon to be the opposite of that. Small team. Experienced hands. One point of contact who actually picks up the phone. A written scope before we break ground, and a yard left cleaner than we found it.
— Adam Williams, Owner & Operator
What We Build

One Crew for the Whole Yard

Most yards need more than one trade. Hiring three contractors means three schedules, three invoices, and three people blaming each other. We handle the whole job, start to finish. Designed once, built once.

Concrete

Driveways, slabs, walkways and pads. Poured right, cured right, built to drain. Repairs and full tear-outs too.

Artificial Turf & Sod

Green all year or the real thing. Graded, based and installed so it stays put and drains after every rain.

See details →

Patios, Walls & Fencing

The structures that turn a yard into a place you actually use. Built level, built plumb, built to last decades.

See details →

Excavation & Demo

Old slab out, grade corrected, site prepped and hauled off. The work that decides whether everything on top succeeds.

See details →

Landscape Design

Madison plans the whole space before anyone digs, so the patio, turf and planting work as one design.

Drainage & Utility Work

Channel drains and utility work planned in from day one. Water goes where we tell it, not where it wants.

Services

Everything Your Yard Needs.
One Crew. One Plan. One Number to Call.

Here is what we do, what's included, and what to expect. You shouldn't need three bids and a translator to understand a quote.

Concrete

Installation · Repair · Removal

A driveway is a 30 year decision. The difference between concrete that lasts and concrete that cracks is the prep you never see. Compacted base. Correct thickness. Proper reinforcement. Expansion joints in the right places. And a slope that sends water away from your foundation instead of into it.

We do all of it in-house, from tear-out of the old slab to the final broom finish.

  • Driveways, walkways, slabs, and equipment pads
  • Tear-out and haul-off of old or damaged concrete
  • Crack and settlement repair
  • Finishes: broom, smooth, and decorative options

Turf & Sod

Artificial Turf & Sod Installation

Here's what most turf installers won't tell you: 80% of a turf job happens before the turf shows up. If the base isn't excavated, graded, and compacted correctly, you get wrinkles, soft spots, and puddles by year two. We build the base the way we build everything else we touch. Like it has to last.

Prefer real grass? We grade, prep, and lay sod that roots fast and drains right.

  • Pet-friendly and play-rated turf options
  • Proper base excavation, grading, and compaction
  • Clean seams, secure edges, correct infill
  • Sod installation with soil prep and grading

Outdoor Structures

Patios · Retaining Walls · Fencing

A patio is an outdoor room. A retaining wall holds back tons of earth. Both punish shortcuts. We build patios that sit level for decades, walls built for the load they carry, and fences with posts set deep, lines pulled straight, and gates that still swing right years from now.

  • Paver, stone, and concrete patios
  • Retaining walls built for drainage and load
  • Wood and metal fencing, gates included
  • Designed with the rest of your yard, not bolted onto it

Site Work

Excavation & Light Demolition

The unglamorous work that decides whether everything on top of it succeeds. Old slab out. Stumps and debris gone. Grade corrected so water moves away from the house. We locate utilities before we dig, haul off what we remove, and leave a site that's actually ready to build on.

  • Concrete and structure tear-out with haul-off
  • Grading and site preparation
  • Utility locating before any digging
  • Trenching for drains and utility lines

Design

Landscape & Outdoor Design

Most contractors build what you point at. We design first. Moving a patio on paper is free. Moving it after the pour is not. Madison plans your whole space as one project, with the hardscape, turf, planting and drainage working together, and plants chosen to survive Texas heat instead of just looking good at the nursery.

  • Design input included with every project: plant picks, layout guidance, a trained eye on the plan
  • Plant and material selection suited to your site and the Texas climate
  • Full-yard layout plans available as a dedicated design service
  • Multi-stage master plans you can build in phases, as budget allows

Drainage

Channel Drains & Utility Work

Water is patient. It finds the low spot, the bad slope, the gap in the plan. And it wins, one storm at a time, until it's standing against your foundation. We plan drainage into every project from day one, and we fix the drainage problems other projects left behind.

  • Channel and trench drains for patios and driveways
  • Downspout tie-ins and water re-routing
  • Grading corrections for standing water
  • Related utility trenching and work

Our Process

Good Outcomes Aren't Luck.
They're Engineered.

Here is exactly what happens when you hire TexCon, in order, every time. No mystery. No vanishing acts. No figuring it out as we go.

1

Walk the Site

We meet at your property, not over the phone with guesses. We listen to what you want, then look at what your yard actually needs: grade, drainage, soil, access for equipment, and anything that will affect cost or schedule. You'll get straight answers on the spot, including whether the project is worth doing at all.

2

Design & Written Quote

Madison maps the whole space so the concrete, turf, walls, drainage and planting work together. Then you get a written scope and a straightforward price. Take your time with it. Compare it to other bids. We don't do pressure, and we don't play the price expires Friday game.

3

A Schedule You Can Trust

When you sign, we commit to a start date. Weather and material delays happen in this business. When they do, you hear it from us first, with a new date. Not from an empty driveway and an unanswered phone.

4

Build It Right

The pros you met at the estimate do the work. We don't sell you a job and hand it to a sub. You have one point of contact the entire project, questions get answered the same day, and the site gets tidied at the end of every workday, not just the last one.

5

Final Walkthrough & Clean-Up

We walk the finished job with you, item by item. Anything that isn't right gets fixed before we call it done. Then we haul off the debris, clean the site, and leave you with a yard, not a punch list. Done means done.

Questions We Get Every Week

Straight Answers to Fair Questions

How much will my project cost?
It depends on size, site conditions and materials. Anyone who quotes you a price over the phone is guessing with your money. Our estimate is free, in person and in writing. And the written number is the number.
How long will the work take?
Most single-service projects (a slab, a turf install, a fence) run days, not weeks. Full-yard projects vary with scope and weather. Your written quote includes a time estimate, and you'll know the schedule before we start.
Do I need permits?
Depends on your city and the project. We'll tell you at the estimate whether your project needs one and how it gets handled, before any work begins. Not after a red tag shows up.
What does the design service cost?
Basic design input comes with every project at no extra charge. Madison weighs in on layout and plant selection as part of the scope. Want a complete yard layout, or a master plan you can build in phases? Hire her on as a dedicated design service and we'll quote it with the rest of the estimate.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. TexCon is licensed and insured, and we'll provide documentation on request. Any contractor who hesitates on that question is telling you something.
How does payment work?
Simple and in writing, like everything else we do. A deposit secures your spot on the schedule. The amount is set project by project and spelled out in your quote. The balance is due at completion, after the final walkthrough, when the work meets your standard. On larger projects, we may set up a graduated payment schedule tied to project milestones, so payments track the work as it's actually done. You'll never be asked for full payment up front.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A little outside DFW? Ask anyway. For the right project and a client in need, we'll expand our scope.

That's the Whole Process. No Fine Print.

Step 1 is free and takes about 30 minutes. Worst case, you learn exactly what your project takes.

About Us

Small Team. Experienced Hands.
Your Neighbors, Not a Franchise.

TexCon is owned and operated by Adam Williams. When you call, you talk to Adam, the person who will actually be standing in your yard. Not a call center. Not a salesman. Not a crew we use sometimes.

Why Small Is a Feature

Big Companies Sell You.
We Build for You.

The big outfits send a salesman to quote your job, then hand it to whichever subcontractor is available. Every layer between you and the person holding the tools costs you money and accuracy.

We kept TexCon small on purpose. The person who quotes your project is the person who plans it, and the crew that starts your job finishes it. That's why our quotes hold and our schedules stick. There's nobody downstream to blame.

And because our name is on every job in the neighborhoods where we live, we can't afford a single bad one. That's a better warranty than fine print.

Every Project Starts With a Plan

Most contractors build what you point at. Madison designs the space first, so the patio, turf, planting and drainage work as one design instead of a collection of purchases.

Madison grew up with her hands in the dirt, gardening and planting years before TexCon existed. It left her with two things you can't fake: a deep knowledge of what actually thrives in Texas heat, and a natural eye for layout, color and flow. She's the reason a TexCon yard doesn't just hold up. It looks like it was meant to be there.

Here's how it works: every TexCon project includes her design input at no extra charge. Plant recommendations, layout guidance, a trained eye on the plan before we build. Want more? For a complete yard layout or a master plan you can build in phases as budget allows, Madison can be hired on to design the full vision.

It's the difference between a yard that was built and a yard that was designed.

What We Believe

Three Rules We Don't Break

01

Say It Straight

Real numbers, real timelines, real answers. Including no, when the project isn't worth your money. We'd rather lose a job than a reputation.

02

Build It Once

Prep is invisible on day one and everything by year five. We build the parts you'll never see like you're going to inspect them.

03

Leave It Clean

Your property is not our storage yard. Tidy site every evening, spotless site at the end. Done means done. And swept.
